This Saturday September 27th, Montanans will celebrate National Public Lands Day and National Hunting and Fishing Day by demanding that our public lands stay in public hands.
Currently there are many state and federal lawmakers attempting to transfer the ownership of federal lands to the state. Officials have repeatedly stated that with a limited capacity to manage those lands, the risk of sale into private ownership is a realistic outcome.
For our families, for our children and for our grandchildren, we have to fight back.
Join your fellow Montanans in Helena at noon on Saturday September 27th to send a message to our decision-makers that you want to make sure our public lands stay in public ownership.
Hundreds of Montanans are expected to attend from across the state and lunch is provided for all who attend.
