Who We Are

Conserving Our Rivers and Way of Life.

Montanans for Healthy Rivers works to keep Montana’s rivers clean and free-flowing for future generations to enjoy. We are Montana families, business owners, sportsmen, farmers, ranchers, agency officials, tribes, land trusts, and conservation organizations who know that clean water and free-flowing rivers are important for our economy and our way of life.

We work to conserve our rivers for people, business, fish and wildlife, for today and for our future.

Together, we’ve joined forces to conserve the last, best free-flowing rivers on Montana’s public lands. With the Montana Headwaters Security Act we will create a legacy of Wild & Scenic Rivers that will protect our outdoor recreation and agriculture industries and guarantee our Montana way of life for future generations.

Join us in protecting clean water and Montana’s wild river heritage by using the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act to conserve more of our iconic headwaters streams on public lands.

Our River Stories

Every Bend – Montana Wild & Scenic

This film gives us a short glimpse into the lives of three Montanans, all enriched by the clean and free-flowing nature of their local rivers. With a focus on the power of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act and how it has benefited just a few Montana rivers, this film serves as a call to action, showing us what is at stake if we don’t protect more of our cherished rivers.

Show your support for Wild & Scenic protections for Montana’s last, best rivers to the members of the Montana Congressional delegation. Please Endorse Our Proposal Today!

Every Bend was produced by American Rivers, The Noble Lab and Trout TV, with support from Klean Kanteen and Costa.
